Commission policy

After your consultation and measurements, we send a written quote describing the design, fabric, number of fittings, price and target completion date. Quotes are valid for 14 days.

A deposit of 50% confirms the commission and pays for fabric bought to order. The balance is due before the piece leaves the studio. Lead times run from the day the deposit clears.

Couture includes two or three fittings, in the studio or by video. Please attend fittings on time; missed fittings can delay completion. Fit is confirmed at the final fitting.

Small changes at fittings are included. Changes to fabric, silhouette or embellishment after cutting may add cost and time; we confirm both in writing before making them.

If your measurements change significantly after the toile fitting, we will advise on alterations, which may be charged.

• Before fabric is bought: deposit refunded, less any consultation fee stated in your quote.
• After fabric is bought or cut: the deposit is non-refundable, as it covers materials and work done for you.
• After the final fitting: the full price is payable.

If we cannot complete your commission, we refund everything you have paid.

If we miss the agreed completion date through our own fault, we will say so as early as possible and cover any expedited delivery needed to meet your event.

Completed pieces not collected or delivered within 60 days of the final fitting may be subject to a storage charge, after we have contacted you.
